James Newberry, Senior Account Executive
Jim Newberry has been involved in public affairs since he was a student at the University of Texas where he organized a conservative slate of candidates that took over most of the student government.

In Jim Newberry's first job after college in 1986, he helped elect a Republican State Representative in a strongly Democrat district. He then worked on the Legislative Staff of Senator Phil Gramm of Texas, managed a Congressional campaign in the Texas Panhandle, and served as the Finance Director for a special election in southern Illinois. Jim is a graduate of the American Campaign Academy, a school funded by the Republican Party to train young people to manage political campaigns.

Jim Newberry may be best known for directing a political action committee that produced and aired the powerful "Which Washington does he represent" TV ad, which many people credit for defeating Speaker of the House Tom Foley in 2004.

Jim recently won a Pollie — an Award given by the American Association of Political Consultants - for his work on behalf of Vernon Robinson, a black conservative Republican who narrowly lost his election but was successful in raising a record amount of money in the mail for a congressional campaign. Jim also has the distinction of netting over $1 million in just four months for Bill Jones Senate campaign against Barbara Boxer.

Jim learned how to write successful copy while an account executive with Eberle Associates in the late 1980's. He has worked at several direct mail agencies and has an enviable track record of writing creative fund appeals that consistently perform well.

Jim and his wife, Cindy, have one son, Jonathan, and live in Poolesville, Maryland, near the horse farm his wife operates.
